Vesna Janevska

Prof. Vesna Janevska, PhD, was born on June 27, 1958, in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. She completed her medical education at the Faculty of Medicine at the University"St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, where she earned her qualifications as a medical doctor, a specialist in pathology, and a PhD. She is fluent in English.

Prof. Janevska’s professional career spans over four decades, beginning as a general practitioner at the Psychiatric Hospital in Demir Hisar from 1983 to 1987. She pursuedspecialization in pathology at the "Dr. Trifun Panovski" Medical Center in Bitola from 1987 to 1990.

In 1992, she joined the Institute of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje, where sheadvanced from assistant and specialist in pathology to assistant professor in 2001. She servedas the Head of the Department of Pathology from 2002 to 2004, reflecting her leadership in the field. She became an associate professor in 2006 and a full professor in 2011.

Since 2011, Prof. Janevska has been working as a Specialist Pathologist and full professor at the Institute of Pathology. During the same period, she also served as the Quality Manager of the Institute until 2020.

In addition to her medical and academic roles, Prof. Janevska contributed to public service as a member of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia from 2006 to 2008.

Prof. Janevska is an active member of several professional organizations, including theDoctor’s Chamber of Macedonia, the Council for Sarcoma at the Faculty of Medicine, theMacedonian Association of Pathology, the European Society of Pathology, the MacedonianAssociation for Morphological Sciences, and the Macedonian Medical Association.
