Marenglen Biba is currently a Full Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science at the University of New York Tirana, Albania. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Bari, Italy and the Laurea Degree (5 years degree) Cum Laude in Computer Science from the same university. His main research areas are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He has published over sixty papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He has served in important conferences in the field such as ECML, IJCAI, ECAI, KDD, ICPR, ICDAR and for international journals such as JIIS, Neurocomputing, Neural Network, etc. Prof. Biba has participated in several European and national research projects on and is co-founder of several start-ups in information systems which have turned into successful companies in the field. Recently Prof. Biba is serving as a QA consultant in DG TAXUD for the European Commission.
