The Turkish Maarif Foundation is a public foundation established by Law No. 6721 dated 17.06.2016 to carry out formal and non-formal education activities abroad, based on the ancient wisdom tradition of Anatolia and the common knowledge and values of humanity. Since its establishment, the Foundation has been continuing its educational activities in different countries of the world in order to raise virtuous people who will use the common knowledge of humanity for the good of their country and the world. The Foundation, which currently provides education to approximately 50,000 students in 49 countries, considers it important to introduce the richness of Turkish culture and civilization to international students and to provide intercultural competence within the framework of scientific criteria.
Accordingly, a Secondary Education Turkish Culture and Civilization Course Curriculum has been prepared for international students. The program was developed within the scope of the Foundation's International Maarif Program standards. The Program includes the vision and mission of the Foundation, the International Maarif Program and Learner Profile, objectives, basic approach and foundations, implementation process, measurement and evaluation process, field-specific skills, themes and sub-themes, conceptual framework including cultural elements and appropriate achievements.
Turkey Maarif Foundation is Turkey's gateway to the world in international education, which sees the interaction of culture and civilization as a path to the “common good”. With the vision of being a pioneering educational institution that raises good people who will use their knowledge and wisdom for the peace and tranquility of humanity, the Foundation has adopted the mission of conducting comprehensive educational activities all over the world based on the common accumulation of humanity and the ancient wisdom tradition of Anatolia. Based on this vision and mission, the Foundation has prepared the International Maarif Program, which can be applied, accepted and developed in international education processes.
