The summit was honored by the presence of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who delivered the opening address. The program continued with speeches by the Minister of National Education, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tekin, and the President of Turkish Maarif Foundation, Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün.

Offering opportunities for dialogue and learning at various levels, the summit’s high-level session brought together ministers of education from different countries. In addition, three thematic panels were organized with the participation of academics and experts to explore various dimensions of the main theme:

• Rethinking the Relations between State and Education
• Social Justice and Education
• A New Sustainable School Culture

Two special sessions were also held:

• Leading Schools Towards Equity: The Role of Principals in Shaping Fair and Inclusive Education
• Shaping Tomorrow: How Can Youth Drive Equity and Sustainability in Education

As part of the summit, Good Practices in Education from Maarif Schools around the world were showcased. Moreover, the winners of the 5th International Maarif Photography Contest were officially announced.
