The 3rd Istanbul Education Summit was held in person in Istanbul on November 17–18, 2023, under the main theme “Leading the Change in Education.”

The program was honored by the presence of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who delivered the opening speech. It continued with addresses by the Minister of National Education, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tekin, and the President of the Turkish Maarif Foundation, Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün.

During the summit’s high-level session, the theme “Leading the Change in Education” was discussed with the participation of education ministers from various countries. In the following sessions, panels hosted academics and field experts who explored the topics:

• The Change in Philosophies and Paradigms of Education
• How to Protect the Critical Mind in the Age of Digitalization: Staying as a Human
• Social Change and Sustainability, School Architecture and the Instructive Role of Space

In addition, two special sessions were organized under the titles:

• Education in the Century of Türkiye
• Technology in Tomorrow’s Educational World

Furthermore, the foyer area featured Good Practices in Education presentations compiled from Maarif Schools across various countries, along with a range of interactive events for participants.
